Deobandh Ganapati Temple and Tourist Spot:-

Deobandh in Mokhada taluka is a very remote and mountainous place. The Shree Sundarnarayan Ganesh Sanskar Kendra has been established by the Sahyadri Adivasi Bahuvidh Seva Sangh in Deobandh. The Shree Ganesh Temple of Deobandh was built in 1986.

This place is called Deobandh Ganapati, because of the Deobandh river that flows through here in winding turns! The name of Deobandh does not appear on the map. The reason is that only a certain distance of the river has this name. The main river is Vaitarna. This tributary of Vaitarna, this river is called Pinjal (Deobandh). There is a bridge on this river near Khodala village. If you look to the right from the bridge, you can see a huge rock blocking half of the river in the

riverbed. It did not fall from somewhere, but seems to have been placed horizontally on purpose. Since the gods built this dam, it is called ‘Deobandh’ by the tribals.

It is also said that this enterprise was done by Bhima, one of the five Pandavas.
