KELVA BEACH

Kelva beach-sometimes also known as Kelva or Kelva beach is a pristine strech of sea shore and a popular weekend gateway for tourists from Mumbai. The beach is about 8 kilometers long. Although not a very famous tourist attraction, the beach is overcrowded with local tourists during weekends which indicate its growing popularity.

ARNALA BEACH

At a distance of around 9 kms from Virar railway station is a small coastal village called Arnala. Being a coastal village, majority of natives here are fishermen. The Arnala Beach attracts a lot of tourists. The Suru trees on the southern end of the beach provide a cool shade for relaxing and picnicking. The sea is neither clean nor safe for swimming; one has to be very careful if tempted to venture in these waters. The beach also has its share of beach resorts.

DAHANU BORDI BEACH

Dahanu Bordi Beach is located in Dahanu taluka of Palghar district. It is spread over a distance of 17 km. Not only for its extensive and tidy beach, Dahanu is also known for its vast chikoo fruit orchids.Although, it is quite warm during summer, the gentle breeze cools down the entire beach. Mecca of the Zoroastrians is a place, which is very popular amongst tourists as there is a magnificient temple, which houses the sacred fire of the Zoroastrians.It is belived that this fire has been kept alive for almost a thousand years. The existence of Iranian and Persian culture further makes this place more exotic.

AALEWADI BEACH

A place that has great potential in terms of tourism, Aalewadiis located near Boisar industrial area in Palghar district. It is already full of tourists round the year. The government too has recognized the place and is taking interest in making this place as inviting as possible. The place welcomes you with a clean Chowpaty, serves you with horse and horse-carts for hire, fine food joints, reasonably-charging hotels and resorts; ample sitting arrangements have been made by the government.

NANDGOAN BEACH

Another fine spot for travel connoisseurs, not far from Aalewadi, is Nandgaon Beach. The stones of Gaodevi are worshipped here in large numbers. The main calling of the locals here is fishing. Nearest rail head is – Boisar station. You can travel in shared autos or MSRTC buses from Boisar stat.

KALAMB BEACH

Kalamb is the fourth consecutive beach after Arnala, Navapur and Rajodi. It is near Nirmal village west of Nalasopara. Kalamb is known for its cleanliness, relatively low crowds, semi-black coarse sand, spike and span resorts and ideal sightseeing by the sea. Sea water is safe to enter and clean to take off.

SURUCHI BEACH

This is an environment-friendly and clean beach. Located in Vasai Nagar, Suruchi Beach is a perfect choice for beach lovers who love to spend time away from the daily hustle bustle of life. The place offers amazing sunset and sunrise views, so it is always buzzing with young visitors and tourists. You can also plan a day’s outing or head to this place for a lovely evening or morning walk.

VASAI BEACH

A river merging into a sea is a common phenomenon, but not a common sight. Palghar offers this unusual spectacle in the form of Ulhas river that flows through its Vasai taluka at its southern border right into the Arabian sea. With less crowds and clean, soft-sand beaches, Vasai is also earning the sobriquet, ‘Mini Goa’.

PARNAKA BEACH

A 15 km stretch of the extensive Dahanu Beach is also known as Parnaka Beach. Lined by coconut and Suru trees, it is a beautiful place to be. There are horses, camel and weekend fairs on the beach which make a perfect recreation for tourists.

CHINCHANI BEACH

Chinchan beach is approximately 100 kms away from Mumbai by train.Nearest railway station is Vangao.Emy,memu and passenger shuttle train halts here.Beach is very neat and clean with golden /silver sand.Arabian sea here have exotic natural beauty.

MAHIM BEACH

On the Arabian Sea coast, is the beach of Mahim that offers a picturesque view of the Arabian Sea. Mahim Beach is more popular for being a sunset point. Located nearby is the Mahim Fort that was built to defend against the invasion of Portuguese.

SHIRGOAN BEACH

The little known Shirgaon beach is located just 7 kms from Palghar, located adjacent to Kelve beach, separated only by a shallow estuary.

SATPATI BEACH

Popular for being one of the largest beaches in Maharashtra, the Satpati beach is also a popular fishing hub of India. It remains overcrowded especially during weekends and in evening time. Most of the fishing villages are also located nearby. The Satpati beach is about 13 kms from the main town and is near Shirgaon beach.

ZAI BEACH

A few miles away from the Bordi beach lies the beautiful Zai village under Talasari taluka, from where you can access the calm Zai beach.
