Mahalakshmi is the `kuldaivata`(patron God of a Hindu household) of tribals, so during the festivity period, the tribals arrange `taarpa` dance for their revelry. Every year a festival is held called Mahalakshmi Yatra for 15 days starting from Hanuman Jayanti.
